Who is eligible for a Welch State Bank Kids & Teen checking account?
Children between the ages of 10-15 are eligible to open a Welch State Bank Kids & Teen checking account with an adult 18 and older as a joint owner on the account. Teens 16 and older are able to open an account without an adult.
As the adult joint owner on my Kids & Teen account, will I be able to view it and transfer money in online or mobile banking?
Absolutely! As a joint owner can view your child’s checking and savings accounts once you apply for Online/Mobile banking. If you are a current Welch State Bank customer and currently have an online/mobile banking account, we can simply add the new account to your current login.
How do I setup online or mobile banking for a Kids & Teen checking account?
You can create a login for your child from our website, or directly from the WSB_Mobile app. Two ways to apply, you choose:
- Website: From our homepage click the Log In button from our top menu bar, and click Apply Now, then complete the application with the childs information.
- Mobile App: Once the WSB_Mobile app is downloaded, from the home screen click “Apply Now”, then complete the application with the childs information.
Once submitted and verified, your child will have their own access ID and passcode to access their account(s). This way you don’t have to share your personal banking info with your child.
How can I transfer funds from my account to a Kids & Teen account?
You can transfer funds to your Kids & Teen account by using the Transfer tab in your Welch State Bank online or mobile banking. You will choose which account to transfer to/from, set the amount, then initiate the transfer.
How do I report a lost or stolen debit card?
My Cards is one solution! It’s available 24/7-365. Use the My Cards feature in your Online Banking or Mobile App to reset your PIN, report your card lost/stolen, set a travel notification, and more. Click here to learn more about the My Cards feature.
